CS3 is changing resolution

I work on many different types of montages. Recently when I save it to jpeg, in order to send it to the lab to be printed, it changes it to a very low resolution and the lab will not print the work :sad:. I have read, tried, asked others, and researched and nothing works. Please help me. I need it to be 300dpi. For an 8x4 it gives me a file size of around 1600kb, we are starting with 6-8 images that are approximately 12,000kb per image onto the canvas.

The obvious question here is what quality setting are you using in the JPEG Options?
