Hi :)) so awhile ago I was bored and I experimented with Photoshop.. so I edited a human face..

please tell me your suggestions, etc..

I'm just new in manipulating photos so I don't know a lot yet.. and this is my very first manipulated picture:

does it look good? :)
tell me how can I improve it :D

thank you!!

i would add some of the shadow and wrinkle back under her eyes.
no shadow equals no depth to the image making her face look flat (shadow is your friend) if you use it right

here is result using original image.
i just selected below the eyes copied to After image and erased the edges with a soft brush
lowered opacity a bit and lighten and blurred it a bit also.

Fun to experiment with this kind of thing, isn't it.

I was going to say the same thing as Dataflow. The addition you have made doesn't look very real under the left eye. And you can see the dodge strokes (or whatever you used) near the inner corner of the eye/bridge of nose and the inner eyebrow. I would suggest that you put all of the shadow back in around the eye and start over again. Now you just have a dark circle that ends abruptly. Try diminishing it evenly over all as you have done around the right eye. And please avoid the pver processing you've done at the inner eye.

Data, sorry, I thought it was Lindy's work. I see you were just giving an example of how to put things back and leave some shading. Which doesn't really change my comments for Lindy.

thank you guys! when u guys said something abt the eyebrow, i looked at it and laughed because what ive done was a complete mess (and with the eye shadows too).. I'll try to improve it next time! again, thank you!

You're welcome lindy. Good effort and kepp trying. I think you did a marvelous job with the skin and the lip color. And you got close on the eyes. Mostly just a case of overdoing it. If you are doing burn and dodge directly on the image layer, try something different which is non-destructive. Make a layer above, fill it with 50% grey, set that to soft light or overlay, and use your tools on that layer. Keep up the good work.
