1) open your eye.jpg, if you want to make it smaller wait until you have finished the tut. duplicate this layer and set it to multiply. this will either make it lighter or darker depending on the light. now open up texture 1.jpg press ctrl+a to select canvas then ctrl+c to copy return to the eye and paste it this will be a new layer. lower the textures opacity and place/scale the way you want. when your happy whack it back to 100% opacity and continue.

2) set the textures blend mode to linear light. and it should already start making the skin look to have more complexity. still with the texture layer head to hue/saturation (image>adjustments>hue/saturation) and use these settings.
hue: 0
saturation: -100
lightness: +10

3) grab the eraser tool and set it to a blurry brush and erase all the texture from the eye. (you could use layer masking here its your choice.)

4) select the burn tool and go back to your duplicated eye (the one set on multiply) and brush the retina, using a blurry 50% brush set to highlights. just to lighten it up a little. now go to your bottom layer and draw a circle around the retina.

5) now select the burn tool, set a blurry midtones brush and 35% exposure. Brush some random spots to create an effect of skin damage, this is a good way to create burned or bloodied effects to use in other images. Be sure not to over burn it your looking for realism.

6) import the texture 2.jpg (use your own methods or copy the way of importing texture 1.jpg and place it on top of all the layers. Set layer to ?overlay? move and scale it around until your happy with the cracks in the eye, now grab the eraser or go to layer mask and delete all the cracks outside of the eye. Also delete them from the retina aswell. Then set the layer opacity to how ever you want I used 40%.

7) this step is just for additions so you could stop at step 6.
If you want to change the colours select the bottom layer (the first eye) and go image>adjustments> hue/saturation. (below is a example)

There you have it? now experiment with it see what you can do
