Hi all..

I have started to do some floral designs ...

The work is in progress but was just wondering if i'm on the right track or should just bin the idea.

I'm going to import them from the vector in to Photoshop then turn them into brushes.

I have not Finnish this one yet.. but wonder what you think ?...

Thanks.

There was a thread started the other day, somebody looking for how to do this you might want to give them a few pointers if you can find the thread

Thanks Inkz...

@Hoogle... No.. there done in inkscape.... the more you use Inkscape the more you find it can do what Illustrator do's, However most people believe Illustrator is bar far the leading application in vector software.

I find the only difference may self is that Inkscape is just a couple of notches behind Illustrator in tools and what they can do. My personal opinion only is that inkscape at this time is around the CS4 possibly CS5 equal to Illustrator, but thats just my own opinion, others that are Pro in inkscape would differ.

Nice vectors man...they will make great brushes.

Corel Draw for me. Inkscape is OK, but I already know Corel. I have never owned AI, it costs too much for me.
Thanks Inkz...

ALB68...

I have corel draw x5 ... i use this also.. it all depends on your personal preference i guess, Although i have illustrator cs5 i prefer to do this type of floral in Inkscape, i just find it a lot quicker for me.

I agree with you over costs for Adobe though, but it's the same old coin, people pay and they keep going with the price. If only people started to say NO to high pricing would they eventually do something when the profit margin drops... but this will probably never happen due to demand world wide by company's that require the software to run their business or large and corporate company's using Adobe products..

The shamefull thing is that unless you have deep pockets, the person just starting out or the hobbiest that can no longer afford it is getting left behind or priced out of the market.

This list will eventually get larger over time... shame really.
