Forest & Woods Effects

I visited my local forest today and took over 40 photographs. The majority of the photographs are similar to this one:

Basically, I am looking for advice on some fancy things I can do with such photographs. I have played around with the saturation levels etc and adding glaring sunlight beams through the tree tops but any other suggestions?
