Site News Forum Organization Changes

In an effort to reduce clutter and make the PSG forums easier to navigate, we are currently making some major changes to the structure of categories and forums.

The goal is to reduce the number of forums, using thread prefixes to organize content inside forums instead of having a forum for every topic. Lesser used forums are being merged into other forums, and thread prefixes created to help organize each forum.

Please pardon the digital dust as things are shuffled around a bit more, until we find the optimal category and forum structure.

Any suggestions, feedback or comments regarding forum organization are welcome and may be posted in this thread.

Here is a list of changes so far, this will be updated and is subject to change, as the organization work is currently ongoing. In case you are wondering what happened to an old forum, this may help you as a reference:

• The old Photoshop Newbies forum has been merged into General Photoshop Board
• The old Photoshop Troubleshooting forum has been merged into General Photoshop Board
• The old forum Post Processing has been merged into General Photoshop Board
• The old Graphic Design Showroom has been renamed to Show Your Work
• The old Before and After Showroom has been merged intoShow Your Work
• The old Forum Tutorials has been renamed to Tutorials and Quick Tips
• The old forum Quick Tips and Techniques has been merged into Tutorials and Quick Tips
• The old Photoshop Filters, Plugins, Effects & Resources forum has been renamed Actions, Filters, Brushes, Plugins & Presets
• Threads from the old Photoshop Brushes forum have been tagged with the prefix 'Brushes' and merged into Actions, Filters, Brushes, Plugins & Presets
• Absolute Favorite Tools forum has been merged into Actions, Filters, Brushes, Plugins & Presets
• Threads related to Actions have been tagged with 'Actions' prefix and moved from Photoshop Actions & Automation to Actions, Filters, Brushes, Plugins & Presets
• Photoshop Actions & Automation has been renamed Photoshop Automation & Scripting
• Threads related to scripting have been tagged with 'Scripting' prefix.
• Threads related to automation have been tagged 'Batch Automation' prefix.
• The old forum GIMP, Corel, Paint and Other Programs has been renamed Non-Photoshop Programs and Apps
• The old forum Adobe After Effects Forum has been merged into Non-Photoshop Programs and Apps. Threads have been tagged with After Effects prefix.
• The Old forum Adobe Illustrator Forum has been merged into Non-Photoshop Programs and Apps. Threads have been tagged with Illustrator prefix.
• The old Forum 3D Programs has been merged into Non-Photoshop Programs and Apps. Threads have been tagged with 3D prefix.
