Check out this site: http://conraddigital.com/portfolio.php

he has done some really good retouching. Anyone have some cool tutorials about retouching. Im not talking about skinsmoothing tutorials. I need to do "good lightning" in photoshop. Meaning how to achive the look of a good light setup on a regular photo.

Welcome to the forums, ibookster!

On all the images I saw he did color corrections, sharpening, and then lighting. Russell Brown? has a great tutorial on the lighting portion. It's called "Lighting with Layers
Change the lighting of an image with two simple techniques."

Thanks for the tip and the greeting. I will see if I can get this to work. any other links are much appriciated too

Well another tip I've used before is to remove the subject from the background, provide an new background altogether, run Lighing Effects on the new background and adjust lighting on the subject material by using a technique similar to Russel's tutorial (the mask one.) That way you have control over the background lighting and subject matter's lighting.
