Hello, all! I am joining the community as JustTweaking, and I hope to be tweaking some photos. I’m not a Guru or even a professional. I’m a hobbyist. But I am getting requests from family and friends for photo tweaks, and while they seem satisfied, I’d like to know what forum Gurus and Professionals think of my efforts.

Background: I first entered the overwhelming world of Photoshop around 1998 with version 5.0 to tweak an old picture. Things got serious in 2001 when I purchased a Nikon D1x and quickly realized I needed real "digital darkroom" skills. I ended up taking lessons from a local pro here in Houston and even studied briefly under Thom Hogan during a weeklong landscape photography course in Hawaii back in 2002. Those experiences opened my eyes to the world of photography and post-processing.

I have maintained an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription since its inception. I technically retired in 2021, but a long-term client made me an offer I couldn't refuse to keep producing a major annual study for them through the end of the decade. Because of that, I am busy from January through June, but I get to enjoy a fully retired lifestyle from July through December—which is when I focus more on having fun with Photoshop.

I don’t know this website very well yet. I hope to help some folks who need a photo tweaked. I also hope to receive critiques from the Gurus and Professionals here that will improve my skills and techniques and hone my evaluation skills.

Regards,
