Help with placing 3d text, making a 3d image

Hi. I'm having trouble placing the 3d text in this picture. Mainly the H. I'm also having a bit of trouble trying to make the background look 3d. Can anyone help me out?

You're almost there.... Isolate the OSH on a layer and use warp tool to distort and shape to your path.

I would have your text following the path first before extruding it in 3d I assume that is what you have done.

I cant test at the moment as I just installed some adobe update and suddenly lost my 3d part.

There's just two main things I'm having trouble with. Whatever transform I use, the back of the H is always just floating in mid air.

The second, do you have any suggestions for how to make the photo itself without the text have a more 3d feel, or a better 3d stand for the 3d text because placing 3d text on a 2d background makes it look a bit weird.

Thanks for the advice, and quick replies. It looks a bit better, but it might be just me but it still looks a bit strange at parts.
