how can i make multiple lines in one single layer??

while drawing in my PC i prefer to use straight lines to make anything .im new to photoshop and while using line tool ,each line forms on different layers which is difficult to erase so i need help to make multiple lines in a single layers.

What mode have you selected in the top tool bar? First is a shape layer, which will make a new layer. The second is a path. The third will just fill the shape on the same layer is likely what you want.
