How can I re-create this painted X??

I was wondering if it is possible I could re-create this using Photoshop ??
And if its really complicated could someone help me with making it ??

you could just put a image of a brush stroke with a lower opacity over the top of it

Thanks, I was wondering how do I get the rough edges and the plastic effect ??

You'll have to get a stock image of plastic stretched (sxc.hu), and then overlay it to a greenish cross.

Then decrease the opacity of the cross.

Not sure how to do the rough edges though.

Tried searching for "stretched plastic" images as suggested, but it's tougher than I originally thought. My way would probably be to browse through the different tutorials and brushes found online until I come to something that would be remotely helpful. Inefficient, yes, but effective in its own way.

Looks like as mentioned a stock image of stretched plastic then a mask had been applied to fade into a photoshop created brush stroke that to me seems to be how the rough edges were created....
