Hey all first time post.. this place has TONS of info I cant wait to dig into. That being said was wondering if any of you gurus could help explain, or offer some tips/general direction to go in to get this affect?

I REALLY like the way the uniform seems to liquify and trail off the player.. that plus the overall coloring/enhancing of the player themselves is right up my alley. Is there a name for the coloring affect? And as for the trailing -any thoughts/suggestions?durant_nba_2k12_by_gold3nknight-d41d2ig.jpgkobe_nba_2k12_new_cover_by_gold3nknight-d41cjv7.jpgNBA-2K12-Welcomes-Back-Michael-Jordan-Introduces-Magic-Johnson-And-Larry-Byrd.jpg

Hi dwizard23

Welcome to Photoshop Gurus.

In a difficulty scale i will say is a 7/10, the key in creating this effect is to find the right stock pics, also some smoke, grunge, splatter, and lightning brushes, and about the FX applied to the main characters you can call it "light streak fx".

I've found you something to get you started.

Hope this helps.

Hey thanks M4x1mu$!! I will definitely check out the links!! I kind of figured there were smoke brushes, but what threw me was how the uniform seems to trail and turn into a liquid like smoke itself. Maybe a mask that uses smoke brushes to pull this off? I dunno, but you've given me a good start to go on!!
