How we draw this shape on photoshop?


Open a large document (3000px x 2500px)
Set Center guides.

Use the Ellipse Tool to create a circle.

Move the circle down.

Now use the Pen Tool to select the top node/anchor point.
Hold the Alt key and click on the node/anchor point to remove it's handles.
Hold the Cmd key and click and drag the node/anchor point upwards.

Since this is a shape, it can be edited and resized.

Since the upper left corner has a right angle,
I would work like on the animation

Ctrl T to locate the center of the circ
put 4 markers for the center
/
for the tangents on the same layer or another
use rectangle tool and add it relying on the guides and paint whit black

When I first looked at the image, I also thought it was a square on top of a circle. But I think that @IamSam version gives you more control...just my opinion....
