how WOULD I CREATE THESE TYPES OF BACKGROUNDS ON PS?

ATTACHED IS A FEW DIFFERENT FLYERS THAT I GOT OFF OF THE WEB AND I LIKED HOW THE BACKGROUNDS ARE,, BUT I WANT TO KNOW HOW WOULD I MAKE A SIMILAR BACKGROUND TO THEM.like the 3-dish style, the streaks of light etc.. please help. thanx.

Most probably some extruded polys from a 3D app (you may want to check the 3D forum to get some adresses for free apps), and then some blendmodes and pics used as layer masks.
Choose the most pleasing eye-candy from what coincidence created.

Oh, c'mon, there's got to be a quick and easy tutorial for a newbie to make this in Photoshop by just clicking a few filters. That's the whole purpose of Photoshop, isn't it??? [confused]
