Icons, Buttons, Glyph

Have any of you ever came across any good sites that teaches you how to design icons, buttons and glyph in general for the web?

I'm currently exploring these kind of stuff for Forums.

Any tips/advice?

I've heard that this is a good place to start:

Make sure to check out the link on that page to MSDN, where they talk about designing icons for Windows XP.

Also, there's a lot of places out there that have tutorials for pixel art, which is pretty commonly used for forum skins. Try searching for "pixel art."
