I'd like to get some constructive criticism for my first project from scratch.

I'm not sure I have much of an artistic eye so I thought I'd post this here to get some suggestions on how I could make this better. How does this look? Any suggestions?

Just few things I notice directly when I look at your image. The font is too big, meaning they are too close to the edges (Bank On Yourself). Either make the circle bigger, or the font a bit smaller. Also in my opinion the check mark symbol is too big and the design of it doesn't really match the font, and I think it's not properly centered but that could be my eye that plays a trick.

I think a better work on the font, would really help this image!

Hi JTL, I think the shading/shadow on the seal/cap is too strong. The way it's shaped almost implies a cupped shape to the seal/cap. A much lighter and straighter gradient might help.

I also think that the text, "Bank on yourself" is a too close the edge of the seal/cap. Instead of making it smaller, you might try leaving it the same size (or slightly smaller) and lowering the line, then making, "Authorized Adviser" in smaller text, thus giving the check mark more room on the bottom, which needs to be centered. You can also stack the, "Bank on yourself" text as well, placing "Bank" above "on yourself" and raising both higher in the seal/cap.

I don't know, and can't really tell on the small example, if you were trying to get an embossed effect on the text. My opinion, for what it's worth, would be a letter pressed effect might look better.

Keep up the good work!
