I've got a girls' golf poster to do, and the theme is "Gettin' Mean on the Green". Any suggestions on what to do with the text? I thought the picture might have them in boxing gloves or something, but they are all just sitting very nicely! Any ideas or suggestions are welcome! Thanks in advance!

Maybe cover them in mud With bits of grass. As in mud slinging. when playing golf hard it takes chunks of the ground. I know people are going to ask for picture. Also someone coming up with a golf club like they are attacking one of them. Like I said hard to see possibilities with no pic.

Hi MCrotty, welcome to PSGurus.

Wow, gettin mean on the green is going to be a hard sell with that sweet pic, lol.
Are you allowed to composite any other shots with the group shot? Even a couple pics of the girls or girl in action -- showing their mean game -- would help correlate the picture to the theme.

If you are just going to use that photo I say locate a very nice grass photo on google and use a clipping mask for the words "Getting mean on green", Then add mud spots around it, add some border to the text. And Any other personal modifications, you want. (Like using a golf ball as the period.)

mmm hard to get the image to match the wording lol If it was a couple of girls and close up I would have gone for more of a dave hill effect and had more action in the shot.
I cam up with this but doesnt relly work either.

Thank you so much for all of your suggestions! Turns out I had very little turn around time for this project, so I just gave the photo a masked border and did some funky type (I'm really not much of designer!). Then the coach decided to go without a theme. Anyway, thanks again! You are all awesome!

yeah they look good without a theme but it was fun to think of ideas. thanks for the update :)
