Image portion

I need to crop an image, a portion of this elliptical shape image, I selected the elliptical selection tool and I drew the ellipse on the portion of the image to be cropped, then with ctrl + ce ctrl + v I tried to paste it into a transparent image , but I see that it copies the elliptical but black form, how should I carry the portion of an elliptical image?

Hi webdesign

When you cut and paste it is only copying the pixels of one Layer. If what you are trying to copy is over several Layers, stamp the Layers into one additional Layer and then do the copy and paste.
I think that is your problem yet not sure with very little information to go on.
