every time i try to draw a marquee or draw a shape in ps6, a small info box appears next to my curser. it is incredibly distracting, and i cannot figure out how to get rid of it. please help!!

Here it is. I don't know if I did something to bring this up, because I don't remember it showing up before. Even if I move something in photoshop, it insists on popping up. ARGHH!!

It's not just coordinates. It's any kind of info regarding what I am doing. If I draw a marquee, it gives me dimensions...I really need to get rid of this thing.

I see what you describe, but I cannot find a way to switch it off. To be honest I kinda like it, since it shows me dimensions of selected object, but I understand it can be annoying too.

Aaaahhhh!! It is nice once in a while, but not ALL THE TIME. I don't even know what this is called to know where to look. If I search 'info panel', it just brings up information on the main info panel, not this. I hope someone can help me!
