How do I install plugin in Photoshop cs6. When installing a plug-in into Photoshop CS5 or earlier, I simply placed it into Programs/Adobe/Photoshop/Plugins/Filters and it would show up beneath the Filters drop down menu when being used. But it seems to have changed this year with the new Photoshop CS6. Below Programs/Adobe/Photoshop/Plugins there is no "Filters" subfolder. If I merely place the file into Plugins it is not visible to use when working in PS-CS6. What is the wrong here? When installing a plug-in into Photoshop CS5 or earlier, I simply placed it into Programs/Adobe/Photoshop/Plugins/Filters and it would show up beneath the Filters drop down menu when being used. mine work under program files adobe plug ins no problem , you do have to shut down photoshop i think for them too load though ,should work although i do have one that i cant get working but it is in there , its a resize program

depends what your installing most plugins come with an installer and some you just place in your plugins folder. Just remember though you have 32 bit and 64 bit ps so make sure your putting the plugins in the right photoshop folder.

you will have C:>Program files > adobe > Photoshop > plugins This will be for 64 bit version if you are running 64 bit windows

and then c: > Program Files(86) adobe > photoshop > plugins will be the 32 bit photoshop

So if your placing plugins in the 32 bit version and loading up 64 bit photoshop then it wont see them and vice versa.

You should be able to just make a folder named filters if you like in plugins that will only add a tree menu to the plugins menu in photoshop

Make sure you are using the correct version of PS...32 bit plug ins will show if you open in 64 bit but are greyed out, and not accessable
