issues:cry: :

- When click text tool in Photoshop cs5, it says there is a problem with the font engine.
- When trying to use text in Illustrator cs3, text box appears but no text happens when I write.

story:

I downloaded the free trial of Fireworks to play with animated gifs. When installing, I unchecked the "adobe font" option because it was like 160mbs and I was thinking, why do I need these fonts I already have the fonts installed from photoshop and illustrator. Well now the text tool doesn't work in either of these programs, but it works fine in Fireworks. Any suggestions?

cliff notes:
- installed free fireworks, did not install adobe fonts
- photoshop cs5 gives me error prompt about text engine now - text doesnt work
- illustrator text box is unresponsive
- fonts in fireworks works fine
- help please

Why don't you try reinstall Fireworks with adobe font options enabled? It might sort out the problem. If the fonts are allready there, the install will merely re-write the old files.

Or try re-booting? Maybe the Fireworks install needs CPU re-booting .
