Hi everyone,

My Japanese GF and me are moving to our new home soon and I want to surprise her with a huge wallpaper of a photo I took on the day that we first got together, on the day after the big earthquake in Tokyo.

This is the 2600x1900px picture: IMG_0658.JPG

Here's the white (slanted, but should be ok I hope) wall that I want to decorate with it : (The furniture around is not mine.)

P1080374.jpg

SO what I need is s.o. who doesn't suck at PS like me, and can upsize the file to as many pixels as possible, then make it as sharp as possible and give it a sort of :jawdrop: Washed Out, Cross-Process, Vignette, Super HDR.. Magazine Finish.

If that sounds like a challenge to you, your work will be the center of our new place and you'll be welcome to come by anytime!

Thanks!

It's not what I would consider a challenge...

Or contest. And it's quite alot of work for a freebie. maybe next time ask out right if someone can do this instead of making sound like a competition.

Thanks for your answer! With my limited knowledge I thought it's quite difficult because of the low resolution. Therefore I was hoping s.o. sees it more as a challenging work and opportunity to show her/his skills than just a lot of work.

But if its really a huge effort and there are no enthusiasts around I would also consider paying for a good result. How much do you think would be fair for this?

how big is that wall? areyou looking to fill it? or a size in mind?

Thanks for asking! Unfortunately I'm still waiting for the landlord to sent me the plan with all measurements, so I don't know exactly..
But I'd say the whole wall is about 4,5m x 3m in Size. Maybe 5x3. I am thinking about a white frame or white border left/right, as the proportions do not match the 4:3 picture. In any case though the picture should fill most of the white space.

I know the exact measures now. It should be a little smaller than I thought, to match the wall's 19:9 ratio.

So the desired size is 294x220cm or 115.75x86.61 inches.

If s.o. still wants to give this a try I would be very happy & thankful & also willing to reimburse for the invested time.

Why not print it to 12 separate canvases, and place on the wall as a group of separate but as one image, if you know what i mean.

Example:
