JPEG 2000 option window

Hey guys,
I was wondering if you could tell me a bit more about the JPEG2000 option window.

I want to know what Wavelet Filters (float and integers) and Tile size refers to, what it is and what it technically (but simply put) does. I found some info on the web, but it's really technical and I lack some background to understand what it means.

also, what does the Region of Interest do exactly. The explanation in the option window does not satisfy my curiosity.
