Just an indication of how well our board is doing...

Every month I count how many new members join our board.

In June we had 59 new members, in July 62; that is a new record!

Congratulations Mark :}

To compare this with last year; 28 new members in June, 23 in July ;)

The last few months we're averaging around 55 new members a month and that number is still growing!

I predict that we reach 1,000 members somewhere before the end of September. To give you an indication; when I joined in March 2002, we had about 75 members.

I want to thank everybody for making this possible!

I never prefer to bring up 'cold' numbers, but it's a good indication of how well our board is doing and if we need to improve in some areas.

All I can say is; keep up the good work guys and this board will have a long and bright future :righton:
 
Gaussian, I noticed the numbers ticking past the 900 mark, and was wondering when it would top 1000.

Where's the party for number 1000 anyway? 8} 8} ;)

WE should all be thanking mark for starting this whole thing. he's a genious ;) And then Gaussian, for being a over-achiever :D and then the rest of the moderators for doing their part, and last but not least, the rest of us, the members, who dont even know we're helping this board and site grow so much! :D The only thing that I'd like to see improved about this place is to have the actual site bigger than the board. But hey, that will come in time ;) [excited] WE ROCK!!!!! wohoo :D [stuned]
 
As you get so many page hits per month why dont you enquire on getting someone to advertise on your site and with some of the money for that you could hold competions on like desiging things and then give the winnner some prizes bought with the advertising money. This would also attract new members and then you could get more for the advertising! Im a genius! :righton:

In fact: being a mod means only that we can switch threads to other forums, and that we have the option to delete a posting. That is all. We are not more skilled, more enthusiastic, more obsessed than anyone else. We have no preferences, no schoolmaster's frustrations, we are no policemen or moral majority agents, no guardians of the madhouse or showing the way this forum has to go. Let it grow like it wants to! A party is made by everyone, not only by the DJ!

To paraphrase a great saying: "At PSG we have no passengers. There's only the crew."
