Hi all, I completely lost trace of an image I'm using on a Photoshop document. I'm using only a portion of the full image and I need the rest of it for another panel...
It was downloaded from the Web, I've already tried the google reverse image search without any results (it's now cropped/resized/renamed) and i carefully went through my Firefox history... somehow, it just disappeared! Is there a way to use photoshop (or maybe Bridge?) to find the data related to my source image (just the name would do it).

Thanks a lot for your help!

David

if you know the name search your harddrive

how about backup do you have backup you can check approx time?

are you on same computer, you found it on?. i know thats sounds stupid but many have more than 1

i sometimes use 2 so it's a good question, but same computer. i'll just go through my browser history again (i don't even remember the exact day so it's a nightmare but i don't see any other option)

Or checked either .... your browser's default download folder ..... MY DOCUMENTS FOLDER..... TEMP folder?
i always save the files i'm using on the project's folder (xcept this time obviuosly : S and always dowld to my desktop. also, i have no idea on how to search my temp folder without a file name...

search the files as icons or thumbnails you may see it

ok, i did it! a pain in the ass to search my browser's history again without a day, but it was there (well we knew that from the beginning, i was just wondering if there's a clever way to do it).
thanks a lot to you both for your ideas.
cheers!

Hi davidmatos

Whit out a name or tag is gonna be really difficult to find the file on the system.

You can try using the Windows advanced search and filter your results by created date or modified, "if you can still remember the date that you download the file, doesn't have to the exact date but juts a period of time let's say in three days lap or a week"

Alternatively, you can always go ahead and try to find that image again on the internet. "Im pretty sure you still remember, what that image was"

Hope this helps.
