Honestly the Zoom tool is one of the most basic tools of any and all graphics software.
So I got Adobe CS6 Design & Web Premium and I'm work atgetting up to speed with the software and as I'm using the Zoom tool I'mfinding that unlike absolutely every other kind of graphics software from thebeginning of desktop computing instead of using the tool by dragging a boxaround the area you want to zoom in on. CS6 instead zooms in on the entireimage as you drag over the area you want to zoom in on, completely losing yourorientation in the work. REALLY??? How stupid is this. typically Adobe.

Lol you come to a photoshop site (pretty much all things Adobe here) "typical Adobel"? Smile dude is all just in the digital world

If you are speaking about Photoshop you can turn off Scubby Zoom in the tool options:

Yeah I found it. It just drives me crazy. For every hour I spend working with it I spend 2 fighting with it and typically over stupid stuff like this zoom tool. Scrubby??? Really???
Crap!!!

It was the opposite for me, when I first upgraded to CS5 I thought scrubby zoom is the best thing ever and I couldn't understand why other Adobe's software like Illustrator don't feature this zoom option.
