I'm having trouble with CS5. Notice in the first pic, when I drag the ESPN icon into PS, a new layer window doesn't open, and also there's not both the icon.psd and ESPN.jpg tabs at the top near the scale.

In the second pic, which is CS4, is how I need CS5 to work. When I drag the ESPN logo into PS, a new layer window opens and you can see both the icon.psd and ESPN.jpg tabs at the top where the scale would be. I think it's actually opening 2 seperate windows, which CS5 isn't doing.

with photoshop cs5 if you drag an image into it when there is an active tab it will assume you want it as a layer as part of that image well thats how it has always acted with me. If you go to file > open then it will open the image in a new tab

Thank you so much. That's exactly what was happening. I have been trying to figure this out for days!
