Not A Valid Photoshop File

Hi All,

I'm beginning to freak out a bit, I've been working on a photo of mine for a few hours and have been saving it as a .psd all along, I just came back to finish it up and got an error of "Could not complete your request because it is not a valid Photoshop document." I've been using a Mac & CS6 at school and it won't open there or on my laptop which is a Macbook Pro w/ CS5. I've tried everything I could find and nothing is working.

Please help!! This is for my final portfolio and it's due next Monday!

We just had a similar question the other day check to see that your title has the proper extension ".psd"

It may be because you never saved it for backwards compatable cs5 psd will open in cs6 but sometimes cs6 psd won't open in cs5 if reverse comparability was not checked

Just a thought.... does the file thumbnail in the folder show as a PS icon? Are you certain it was saved as .psd? If your able, try changing the extension.
