Is there any way for me to organize my actions besides using the actions pallet? I've got far too many actions right now to scroll through them efficiently. I know there is at least one plugin that sorts the actions and uses a hotkey command to bring up a dialogue box to select actions, but does anyone know of alternatives? I'm using a Mac.

Thanks.

Unlike brush that we can append one brush into another and save as a new brush set, we cannot do the same way for actions set.

This was also my question before and I was succesful to find by myself how to do that.

So this what I do.

I open all action sets that have similar actions, let us say all are related to Christmas.
All and all, let us say, there are 10 action sets.

1) go to (click) action set 2

2) Click the triangle symbol so it will face down and shows the actions.

3) with left mouse, drag this action (NOT the action set, but the particular action as a sub of action set) into action set 1.

4) if there are 3 or 5 actions in action set 2, then we have to drag all those actions into action set 1

5) do the same thing for action set 3 and all the rest.

6) Once you finished drag all those actions, click action set 1, then click a small minus symbol (-) in the right corner of the action palette

7) Save actions and name it.

8) delete all those former action sets.

Have your try.

Ciao!

I've just started using the Action Station software from 1clickactions and it offers a good alternative to using the action palette.
I use it with Windows but there is a Mac version too. You can also get a discount to the prices shown (I think).
