Pen Tablets

Years ago I purchased a Wacom pen tablet, used it for a while then shelved it. I'm one of those people that chokes the pen to death and my hand would get tired quickly.

I just set it up again this morning because of the airbrush style painting I've been experimenting with.

From what I did this morning it seems the pen tablet is "almost" required for airbrushing!
Obvouisly it isn't since everything I've done to date has been with a mouse, but "wow" airbrush style painting and pen tablets seems to go hand in hand. Funny how you re-discover stuff...Lets see how I feel about it a couple of weeks or a month from now..

I've got a Wacom. Don't use it much anymore. I've come up with other techniques that work better for me. Every now and then I'll plug it in. But it is a great tool for airbrush and will serve you well until you develop your own techniques. Many people swear by them.
 
I have a smaller Wacom 4 x 6? and while I'm not impressed with that, I also bought a larger 11 x 13 generic tablet which I feel the same way about. They're nice toys for me, but I'm better off drawing by hand, and then scanning and finishing with a mouse. Even then, I'm not so great at it.

I kick myself for not getting into REAL airbrushing years ago, when I had a chance.
