? Here is some work done for a college project, took me about 1:30 hour. All of the blood on the knifes are done by contrasting the texture to specific level than Color burned and Vivid lighted
 
I really like the blood effect. The daggers are interesting also.

Where did you find the images? I'd like to try my hand at something like this.
 
Sorry for responding after such a long time.

I have used only two images. One image was a skull of a human, which i cut in half than duplicated and flipped Horizontal. Combining them together gaved me an evil look.
Second image i used, was a knife which i cut out from image found on google.
Than i used 2 different textures from Internet and te grid i created my self through Eyecandy. I used many different Layer adjustments for the textures and images and for some overlayed, color burned etc...
