Photoshop to Illistrator

I am having problems with Photoshop and illustrator. I need to make a logo file in .esp format. I used Photoshop to make the icon for the logo but I can't seem to get it to open in illustrator. Anybody have any experience in this?

why is it not opening, are you getting an error message?

Did you export it as an .AI? In MENU... FILE>EXPORT>Paths to Illustrator.

Yea I tried opening it in AI but it got all choppy and I exported as an .ai file and it would not open in AI

Sometimes it depends on your Illustrator version.

The best you can do is to try the place command....

Open a new Illustrator document, then place your (flattened) raster image into it using "File > Place".....

Or ......... In CS..... File > Save As > Photoshop eps .

Then use "place" option in illustrator.

Just realised something.... "CHOPPY" as in pixelated?

Remember , Illustrator is vector... PS is pixels..... lol...

Yea unforgettably I couldn't do anything with it so I passed it on to someone with more Illustrator knowledge. Thanks for the help tho.
