Specific Photoshopping cell culture plate into travel pbotos

Hi all,

I work at a lab studying autism using live neurons. For Christmas we want to give our lab advisor a funny gag calendar with the cells featured/present in our travel photos. Our cells are grown in these plastic culture wells. I have pictures of the wells along with pictures of me holding up the wells! Either the cells being held up in the photos or with them places somewhere in the images would be great if possible. Thanks! Essentially want it to look like I was there with the cells or the cells are visiting the place themselves hah!

Just letting you know that your request in not being ignored. It's just a very difficult edit because we are dealing with a transparency.
For example.........


It's very difficult to make it look real.
It just doesn't look right.............it takes some time to experiment with techniques.........please be patient.

Would it be easier to do if I provided a picture like these where the wells are transparent ?

Thanks.......those are much better photos but they would be even more difficult to work with due to the background.

Maybe some Hi res photos on a pure white and well lit background. Hold the tray several feet away from the white background.

I'm so very sorry, it was poor communication on my part. When I said hold the tray several feet away from the white background, I didn't mean the camera. The camera should be closer to the tray, but the tray should be away from the most solid white background you can find.

Also, I want to mention that we may not be able to get a good result at............it's just a matter of experimentation.

Excellent! Thant looks great David! Can you give a quick and easy explanation how you did it? I was trying alpha channels.

Thanks Sam, i was testing so my psd it's a mess... but i did it using a large combination of basic adjustments ( exposition, intensity, selective correction, opacity, contrast, photography filters) nothing especial, just aplying things until i get what i want XD.

I can give you the psd if you want but as i said it's a mess XD.
