Sup guys, long time

My PC recently crashed and i had to rebuild it. Well i formatted and did a fresh install of PS5 and now i get an error when trying to access Camera Raw..

It says..

---------------------------
Adobe Bridge
---------------------------
Bridge's parent application is not active.

Bridge requires that a qualifying product has been launched at least once to enable this feature.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

Anybody know how to fix this? Ive already rebooted and tried everything i could.. Thanks.

I had a similar problem when I upgraded to adobe bridge cs5.1
It came up with would you like to install the illustrator\photoshop\etc etc into the adobe bidge file manager etc it did that part automatically but when I tried opening up images from adobe bidge I got same error as you.

If you go into photoshop and use bridge from inside there and then reboot bridge it fixed it for me.

I had the exact same message. I had to uninstall and reinstall. At least I couldn't find any other solution -- but then, I didn't belong to the forum at that time ;[

have you tried the adobe community?

Where is everyone? Norm? Admin? Gauss?

Admin is busy on some other projects the only 1s around so much these days are iDad hawkeye and Spruce was around back the time you were a regular visitor.
Steve is now an Admin

we have 3 forum mods

Myself, $ir max and dv8_fx

And then as far as members go we we have a high turnover and most the regular guys are new members within the last 6 months. With some appearences from older members.

I am probably missing out some people. It is hard to keep track lol

Hey Kevin how's it going?

It sounds like all you need to do is open Photoshop for the 1st time and haven't done that yet.

After that Bridge should work.

Hey guys

Look at Steve, the big Admin now  !! Steve is right for the job, i can attest to that, he has Moderated several of my forums and done a great job! I remember my moderator days here, fun times!

Back on topic, i tried that to Steve, it's not working, i am going to uninstall it and try again.

Very odd Kev based on the message.
Yeah, try reinstalling and see what happens.

I just thought of something else, how many times have you installed CS5?
With the crash you obviously didn't deactivate a copy.
If you already installed it twice thats all your allowed.

If that's the case call Adobe.
The exact thing happened to me and they helped me reinstall.
