PS CS 2 Freezes !

Hi did anybody noticed that sometime photoshop cs 2 freezes for just 3 to 5 seconds, and then continues to respond, My system mets all the requirements , so why is this ?

I have 512 MB of ram. plz if anyone knows help me. Thanx

I don't know much about the techy part of PS and how it loves or hates my computer, but I can tell you I started out with 512 MB of ram with CS2 and it wasn't enough for me. It would hang and crash on occasion.

I was due for a new comp so upgraded to 2 gig of ram. :} And that did the trick. Hopefully someone here can help you further, just thought I'd mention it.

I agree, that 512 ram is not really enough. Because some of that ram is used to run/maintain your OS and/or any other apps you have open at the same time as PS.

1gig should be the minimum for decent performance.

That's ok I'm not gonna loose ps cs 2 either , and I'm not gonna upgrade my ram either I already updated it recently.
