Question about logo theme

Hey all,

I'm a web designer and programmer.

I'm currently working on a project that will hopefully one day be a browser based game.

Now I would like to work on a nice logo. Unfortunately, this is not my area of expertise, to put it mildly. Eventually I hope to add an experienced graphics artist to my team, but that's beyond my means at the moment.

I'm hoping to get some help from you guys!

Here is an image that sums up my websites theme:

I would like a nice logo that is 960px wide by about 100 high. So what I am hoping is that maybe someone here could give my some ideas, or maybe even a basic mock up of a suggestion or whatnot.

If anyone by chance would like to draw up a nice logo, I would be pleased to list their name in my special thanks section. It's not a check for $1000 but it's what I can do lol.

actually knowing the name that will be on the logo will help a lot

lol you are right, knowing a name would be a good idea.

The name is "Planet of Ruins"

And the background image is pretty cool but I figure I can't use it for a commercial site. I'll probably end up having to find one I can buy from a stock site or find someone to make one.

Which is too bad cause I love that one.

As you are doing this for a business venture, you thread should really be placed in the Freelance Section. Our rate for a logo is not $1,000. At $50 it is cheap and it is a steal. Here are our posting guidelines.

I apologize. My $1000 comment was simply pulled out of my butt. In all honesty I had no idea the forum offered services officially.

the background is already used in a forum RP game, shouldn't be a problem to use it.
Else ask i-moc.com if you can use it. they will say yes.
