My 6-year-old Dell laptop is giving me warning signals that’s it’s about to die off. Aside from software freezes over the past couple of months, yesterday I had a full computer freeze and the only way out was a hard reset. Not a good choice.
So I’m in the market for a new 16” laptop with enough power to allow me to run the newest versions of Photoshop and Topaz software. Right now I’m under-powered with an older graphics card, processor, and lack storage.
I’d like to stick with a laptop and with Windows. Primarily run Photoshop, MS Office 365 (Outlook and Word) and use Firefox as my browser. I also run a separate 27” Samsung display
My budget is around $1500 - $2000.
Here is what I think I’ll need in terms of hardware
CPU - Intel i9 processor or AMD Ryzen 9700X
GPU – Nvidia GeForce 4060 or Radeon RX 7600
(minimum vram of at least 12MB)
RAM – 32GB
Hard Drive – 1 TB SSD
Recommendations on above as well as brands are most welcome!
