Specific Removal of white stripes from dress?

Hi! I was wondering if it would be possible to remove all of the white stripes from this dress for a fully black dress without compromising the texture of the fabric (it's ribbed, though I'm not entirely sure you can tell that from the photo). Thank you in advance.
