Removing confluent background? or making a mask?

Hi guys,

I have following problem with my pictures for my CV. I`ve made some times ago 2 photos and I had the idea to remove the background/yellow wall/ and I wanted to put a gray background, but this isn't an easy task because I didn't thought that the wall color will blend so with the color of my hair. So stupid. Another problem is that images aren't with high resolution. I tried all sorts of plug-ins/fruid mask, Topaz Re-mask, Mask Pro/ for Photoshop, but the result is lamentable. Also tried extract feature in Photoshop - bad result. Can anyone help me because I'm desperate.
