Specific Removing shadows

Hi! I don’t know if this is possible, but I am wondering if removing the shadows in these photos is possible? Even just lightening them? I am I love with them, but the photog didn’t bring enough light and says she doesn’t have the skill to remove them by editing :( so if she can’t do it I don’t know if it’s even possible, but just thought I’d see! Thanks for looking!!

I usually dont soften the skin so much but in this case being a child i like the cartonish kind of effect. XD
