Specific Removing white background

Hi guys I'm trying to create a product picture of these comics so i wanted to remove the background and maybe add something (Shadow)? or something to enhance the photo to make it look more appealing. But every time i remove the background i still have the table there etc and im not sure if i should add anything like a white layer with a shadow to make the comics look better? Any edit would be great

Not sure what you want, but here's a basic off white BG with a drop shadow. If you want something different, please explain in detail and it can be changed or added.
