replicating shimmer/glitter appearance for product surface

Hello,

I'm trying to replicate the surface of a product that didn't photograph well. I've attached a sample of what its meant to look like, kind of similar to car paint with flakes. If anyone has any ideas on how to achieve this I would appreciate it.

I get close to this with just use brush #100, turn off all effect and paint white on transparent layer above color layer. Settings I use below on screen shot. change size of each paint click between 50 and 120. Not perfect but close to your image.
