[Request] Colorize/Restore 50+ year old picture of my family :)

Hey there, I've seen some of the amazing work done around here and I was wondering if someone could help me tackle this problem My grandma is fighting cancer (it's look uphill from here) and I think it would really make her day if I could get a colorized and cleaned up version of one of the few pictures she has of her as a little girl along with her brothers, sister, and parents. My great-grandparents have been gone for some time now, and I'm sure that a "new" photo of them from the '50s would really brighten things up for her. I stitched the photo together, and I've tried different colorizations and such, but I simply don't know Photoshop well enough to do a good job. I would owe you everything if you could help me make my grandma smile. :)

The image is rather large, and I would like it to be as large as possible, unless you can make sharpness worth a size reduction. Here's what I have so far:

ps that was only a 10 min job if you want a more specific job doing colours etc let me know I know this is a bit rough around the edges
 
Holy crap, that was a ten minute job!? I'd love to see what you can do in 30, haha! Really this is awesome. If you would be so kind, do you think you could lighten the hair of the ladies in glasses a bit? If you could put some more time into this, make it look even more realistic than it already does, I would be extremely grateful. I don't have too much money, but I might be able to get a few bucks to send to you for your time, if you'd like. If there's anything else I can do, please let me know. If there's something I could send you or do for you, please just name it. This is definitely something I would appreciate perfected. It really means a lot! :)
 
If I was doing it for money then I would have watermarked it secondly I am not allowed to free lance on here as I have not been a member long enough lol so Take this as a free gift
 
ok well I will assume it is good enough as you have not been back so I can get some sleep now lol
 
cleaning up old images from my computer so this 1 has now been deleted so Hope it is ok for you as it is
 
maybe you can post your techniques here LOL
 
how about I do a video tutorial it will only be a quick rough guide give me 30 mins or so to have my dinner then I will do it
 
Hey there, sorry I haven't been back. It was a long day at work. The most recent pic is looking amazing! I mean, this looks 98% like an original colored photograph! Like you said, the arms at the bottom need some color, little things here and there, but man oh man this is a work of art! Are you sure there isn't anything I can do for you?
 
Well I am currently rendering a tutorial video of it now it is not a particularly pleasing outcome but you cant expect awesome results in a 5 min video it is not a skill level that is lacking it is time and fine tweaking once you see the video you should be able to do it yourself so I would like to see you attempt it whilst watching my video I would like to see results being taught

Here is the pic from the video all though did a slight colour change bottom right hand corner if this video finally renders for me about 8 times trying now then you can follow along to this tweaking it as you watch
