Slow connections at PSG


Was on and unlogged an hour ago . Everything was in order.

Now I've just opened and loaded the 10 latest forum posts and all loaded nicely.

Witch must be taking a day off on me today....



this post took less than a second.....
 
Last night at 10:50 pm CST PSG server shutdown. The FF message was "Server not responding". After 10 minutes, I gave it a rest. I intended on checking back in 30 minutes but I fell asleep! So I don't know when it might have came back online.
 
Today at 10:30 am, PSG shut down for 12 minutes! Still running slow at the moment. All other sites working fine.

I used to get that a lot last year.


I've visited the VB Forums and find no report of any VB related connection problems.

Which leads me to believe that connection problems may be caused by user's respective service providers during peak periods. I could be wrong tho....
 
I've gotten the same message as Sam, but like you Vee, not in quite awhile, not this year. My connections just lags but most of the time is fine. Initially I thought it was browser related but it wasn't. I don't think it was my ISP either as no other connections were slow. At any rate, it isn't much of an issue for me right now.
 
10:35 pm CST. PSG is again running very slooooowwwww.

I finally had to stop trying. I gave it some time and it seems to be working OK now.

I tried to edit my post at 10:42, but the edit never made it.
It took about 10 minutes to make the post.

Don't know if this was the browser or the server but it was loading the pages funny....

Thinking about this again... i seem to remember the first time the site was very slow and that post i made back then was after PSG changed its service provider... its been acting this way ever since, going slow at times and not at others, wonder what has changed before and after ?... might have nothing to do with it but you never know.
 
If I remember correctly , we moved to another service provider 2 years ago.

Hard to say what's wrong. I'm trying to get hold of Vincent (ADMIN) so he can have a look see what's going on.......
 
FWIW, yesterday evening (east coast USA time, say, 12 to 18 hours ago), I noticed a bit of a slow-down, but nothing too dramatic. Today, it's zipping right along from here.

Tonight starting around 12:57 am CST, PSG is taking about 1 minute 45 seconds to respond.................very annoying.
 
Yup earlier today I couldn't get on. It kept timing out
