I have a photo here I am really keen on using as the base for a flyer. I am hoping for a portrait version of this pic, where the detail of the players, pitch, etc, makes up around the bottom 20% of the pic, with the night sky stretched to fill out the majority of the page. I cannot work out how to phase out the trees or blend in an elongated night sky, so that it looks seamless. I don't mind the trees being stretched a little to add some extra detail to the left of the upper half, but that is not essential, just as long as they look natural, and aren't just cut off like they are when I try to do this. Also, I wouldn't mind the subtle addition of one or two stars to add a bit more authentic detail to the lengthened sky, or even a moon (that is streetlight in the pic which might look like a low moon). But those embelishments are not critical.

Hope someone can help.

Hi Grigsy
It would probably help to just specify the exact final aspect ratio you want for the image. I assume you want the lower, left, and right edges left alone with no extension and just extension on the top. All that is left is to specify the aspect ratio, or final dimensions with ppi, or total pixels in height relative to your pixels in width of the existing image.
That will make it easier so forum members do not have to guess what you need.
Just a suggestion.

Thank you all so much.

John, I will try to be more specific next time. Apologies.

JJLapin - it's for a Facebook flyer, the size is perfect, thank you.

And Gary, improvement to perfection.

Thanks again.

One more thing. I showed this to a couple of others for their approval. Glen (#21) asked whether we could make him a little less rotund. Please note, we wouldn't want him slim, as this will go around our club so everyone will know it's him and might make a bit of fun of him if the photoshopping is too radical, but I think he would appreciate anything that could be done to make him a little more flattering (maybe the rounds and creases around his middle). Is this possible? If not, it will be fine as is.
