suggestions needed plz

i am trying to make an interface for my site, my plan is pic along top and left side. and top left a pic to join them, with a little nav on top and main nav on left

i am not bothered about the textures but would like to try chrome, wood, etc. any other ideas welcome (its a music site if that helps) and for the pic at the top i am looking for any old cool effect does'nt have to be music related but would help

Have you looked at some of the tutorials that Mark (theKeeper of this site) has up? One in particular on 'chrome' comes to mind http://photoshopgurus.info/intermediate/chromefx/the_chrome_files.shtml

as for the design can somone right a quick little tut. just something that looks cool maybe wire mesh? something along those lines
