Hi Guys

I am trying to add a site name to each photograph (like the image below) As you will see the text is on a transparent background which i can do no problem but also the text itself has a degree of transparancy. I like this effect as it still shows a part of the photo through. I cant seem to get the effect to work at all though and i am sure its really simple.

Also once the effect is how i like is it possibly to save it as some form of psd etc so that it always is in the same place on every photo example 20 pixels from the top and right?

Thanks for you help its really appericated.

Hey John! Welcome to the forums.

As p?tr??k pointed out there is an opacity slider at the top of the layers palette.

If I were doing the task you have set yourself I would have to know if all the photos were going to be the same size. If so, I'd make a new document with a transparent background of that size. On that I'd place my logo and adjust the opacity. Save that file as a TIF or PSD file.

When I wanted to add it to a photo and keep the original relative location, I'd open both the photo and my logo and drag the logo (from the layers palette) onto the photo while holding down the Shift key. That will align the two.
