Transfer License to New PC

I just bought a new PC today (Win 11) and I am now trying to install CS5. I already disabled the license on the old PC (I can't remember the specific term for un-registering or disabling the license). For the new install, I was prompted for my CS5 serial number, which I have and which was confirmed as valid.

The problem is that they are now asking me for the serial number of the old Photoshop Elements 7 that I had bought prior to buying CS5. Apparently, when I bought CS5, I received a price credit for having upgraded from Elements, which seems to be why they are asking for it. But I do not know the Elements serial number, so I'm stuck.

I went to the Adobe support website but can't find anyplace where I can actually contact them to ask how to proceed. Do any of you know how to actually get Adobe on the phone or in an on-line chat?

Thanks
Rich

I was able to open an on-line chat with an actual human agent. The bad news is that they couldn't help me. To transfer my CS5 license to the new PC requires that I provide the current CS5 serial number—which I have—as well as the serial number of Photoshop Elements, which I bought about 18 years ago. I had no idea that I needed to save that for the rest of my life.

This is so unfair of Adobe. I have a valid CS5 license that they are denying for no good reason. I'm too annoyed to deal with it now, but I suppose tomorrow I'm going to have to subscribe to Photoshop CC.
