Specific Trying to uncover the background.

So I have always been very weary of my SO, they have duplicate photos that are different size, I decided to try and clear the photos through an android ps app, but I only get so far to getting the background to clear, plus I have this image in the foreground that I can't seem to clear, please educate/help me.

Maybe it's me...but I don't understand what you're asking.
What do you mean by "clearing" an image? Do you want to remove something? What exactly?
