Twin Peaks Poster Project

Hey guys!

I am doing a project in school where i am going to recreate movie posters. As the Twin Peaks fan i am i have decided to recreate the twin peaks blu ray poster.(just google Twin Peaks blu ray if you don't know what i am talking about). I have made some changes from the original such as different background and a boy instead of a girl. But the big question i am asking is how to make that torn paper effect around the dead picture. Please help me!
